I’m a huge fan of themed parties and I wrote about it last year. Choosing a theme, organization, preparation of decorations and food is a lot of fun for me and I’m always very excited! But it’s not just about preparation, I also like games for parties. They are not really complicated and you don’t need to have lots of things to play them. Most importantly, they integrate all your guests and can make you laugh like never before (trust me!). In this post I’m gonna share with you my favorite games – I think that you know some of them as they are very classic.
Jestem wielką miłośniczką imprez tematycznych, o czym pisałam w zeszłym roku. Wybór tematu, organizacja, przygotowywanie dekoracji i przekąsek to dla mnie super zabawa, i za każdym razem mnie ekscytuje! Jednak same przygotowania to nie wszystko, bo lubię zadbać też o przebieg imprezy. Jest parę gier, które nie wymagają zbyt wiele, a które integrują gości i potrafią wywołać salwy śmiechu (mówię z doświadczenia!). W tym poście znajdziecie listę sprawdzonych przeze mnie gier – myślę, że część z nich znacie, więc będzie to przypomnienie kilku klasyków, które idealnie nadają się na imprezy.
~CHARADES~
You can have different versions of this one – with words or gestures, with dividing people on teams or not. It’s about guessing the word one person is trying to show. If you play the version with teams then a person from one team invents the word for a person from another team who tries to show this word to this team. If you play without teams then the person who shows also invents the word. The person who guesses the word is the next one to invent and show. Before starting, you can choose the category – it can be characters from movies, kitchen tools, animals or your common friends. The only thing that limits you is your imagination!
~KALAMBURY ~
Ta gra może mieć kilka wersji – może być ruchowa, z podziałem na drużyny lub nie. Polega na tym, że jedna osoba dostaje hasło, które musi przekazać reszcie bez użycia słów, tylko za pomocą gestów. W wersji z drużynami hasło wymyśla osoba z drużyny przeciwnej, a drużyna osoby pokazującej musi je odgadnąć. W wersji bez drużyn osoba pokazująca sama wymyśla hasło i pokazuje je wszystkim. Ten, kto zgadnie jest nową osobą pokazującą. Najfajniejsze w tej grze jest to, że można sobie wybrać dowolną kategorię – to mogą być postaci filmowe, przedmioty kuchenne, zwierzęta albo wspólni znajomi. Opcji jest naprawdę wiele i ogranicza Was tylko Wasza wyobraźnia!
~STORIES~
For this game you need some sheets of paper cut on longitudinal stripes and some pens. Sit in a circle, take one sheet of paper and a pen. The game is about answering the questions on your paper. Then you have to fold it so nobody can see your answer and give your sheet of paper to the person on your left. Everybody does the same with all the questions. When it’s finished then you can unfold all the sheets and read the stories that were created during the game. Trust me, this game can make you laugh! Prepare for some masterpieces, those stories can be very very funny!

~HISTORYJKI~
Do tej gry potrzebne są kartki papieru, najlepiej pocięte w podłużne paski, i coś do pisania. Siadacie w kole, każdy dostaje swoją kartkę i długopis. Gra polega na odpowiadaniu na kolejne pytania. Po udzieleniu odpowiedzi każda osoba zakrywa swoją odpowiedź, zginając kartkę, a następnie przekazuje ją osobie po swojej lewej stronie, zgodnie z ruchem wskazówek zegara. Pada kolejne pytanie, na które wszyscy odpowiadają, zginają kartki, tak żeby zasłonić odpowiedzi, i przekazują dalej. Po odpowiedzeniu na wszystkie pytania, rozwijacie kartki i czytacie na głos powstałe historyjki. Gwarantuję Wam wiele śmiechu – czasem powstają perełki, których nikt nigdy sam by nie wymyślił!

You can also find this game as a phone app but you can play without this too. Then it’s good to have sticky notes that you can put on your forehead. Sit in a circle so everybody can see each other. Choose the category. Everybody invents the word for a person on their right or left side, decide it in the beginning. Then put the sticky note with the word on the forehead of the person on your right/left side. The game is about guessing the word you have on your forehead by asking a question in a way that you can only answer “yes/no”. It can be “Am I a character form a Netflix series?” or “Do I have some super powers?” and so on. The game ends when everybody guesses who or what they are.
~CZÓŁKO~
Ta gra ma swoją aplikację na telefon, ale można w nią zagrać bez tego. Przydadzą się wtedy karteczki samoprzylepne! Siedzicie w kole, tak żeby wszyscy widzieli siebie nawzajem. Wybieracie jedną kategorię. Każda osoba wymyśla hasło dla osoby siedzącej po jej lewej stronie. Potem bez pokazywania hasła tej osobie, przykleja karteczkę na jej czole. Zapoznajecie się z hasłami wszystkich osób, poza waszym, wiadomo :P Gra polega na tym, by zgadnąć, kim lub czym się jest poprzez zadawanie innym uczestnikom pytań, na które można odpowiedzieć „tak” lub „nie”, np. „Czy jestem postacią z filmu, który ma części?”, „Czy mam super moce?” itd. Gra toczy się dopóty, dopóki wszyscy nie zgadną swoich haseł.
~ALCOHOL GAMES~
This is a proposition for those who also like alcohol games for parties. Flanks, King’s Cup, beer pong and others. During my parties we play those two first ones. I think all of you know what flanks and beer pong is so I’m not gonna explain them. When it comes to the King's Cup, it’s a game in which you have to use playing cards. Sit in a circle, everybody needs to have something to drink – beer, cocktail, vine, whatever. Then put a cup inside the circle and put playing cards around the cup. Everybody takes a card one by one and has to do something depending on the function for the cards. You can check everything here!
~ALKOHOLOWE~
To propozycja dla tych, którzy lubią też zabawy alkoholowe. To mogą być flanki, King’s Cup, beer pong i inne. U mnie pojawiają się zazwyczaj te dwie pierwsze. Myślę, że większość z Was zna flanki i beer ponga, więc nie będę tutaj tłumaczyć zasad tych gier. Z kolei King’s Cup to gra, do której używa się całej talii kart. Siadacie w kole, każdy z tym, co pije (piwo, wino, drink), po środku ustawiacie kubek. Karty układacie wokół kubka. Każdy po kolei ciągnie kartę i wykonuje określoną czynność – wszystkie funkcje kart znajdziecie tutaj.
You can find lots of party games and these ones I mentioned here are just a small percent of a huge amount of what you can find on the internet.
