January essentials and favorite moments

January is over! Can you imagine that the first month of the New Year is already behind? Well, I'm quite surprised, haha! Normally I used to record a podcast episode with some previous month essentials and favorite moments but then it's only in Polish so I decided to write a post in English instead. Let's go!

Highlight of this month - a jewelry workshop.
I worked in a jewelry manufacturer but it was a long time ago and I've already forgotten how cool it is! This month I participated in a jewelry workshop with a friend and I made a neckles and a bracelet and now I'm wearing this with pride as I'm the creator of those pieces!

Highlight 2.0 - the end of semester.
I'm already over all of my exams and currently I'm on my way to relax and have fun :D It was just overwhelming and stressful and I'm glad it's already finished. Talking about university - well I didn't get the internship abroad as I wanted but it's okay. I wasn't fine at all but now I'm good and looking forward to having the internship in Łódź!

Quick trips back home.
I went to Poznan twice this month and it was really cool! I went to see my Grandmas and also I met some of my friends and my best friend had her 25th birthday party. We also had a board game party at my house and I laughed so hard that I had a stomach ache haha! I really like those trips back to Poznan, it makes me feel happy :)

[New Year's] Resolutions update.
As it's the end of the first month, let's do a quick check if everything is going well. Being on time - eh... it depends :P but I'm really trying! Really. Content creating - here I'm doing well, Thanks to my organization you can have this post today! Being in contact with others - that's difficult... But I'm trying to send messages and answer and do check-ins. This is just the first month so I hope I'll do better in the next one!

And how was your month? Let me know in the comment or send me a message on my Instagram! <3 I would love to know how January was for you :)

September essentials and October projects!

September was so warm and half calm half crazy for me! Let’s chat about this almost past month and do some plans for October which is gonna be full of… surprises.

September

Two first week I spent in Paris as you could see in the last post – check it out here if you haven’t read it already. It was a very nice time that I spent with my boyfriend, his family and my mum too! I was very happy that we had managed to organize this trip for her so she can meet my boyfriend’s family :D

But (!) something had happened before this trip to Paris! I had a very beautiful opportunity to be a translator during a Polish-French wedding which was a huge challenge for me. I don’t know if you know this about me but I’m a French teacher and usually I use this language to teach (beside my everyday life with my French boyfriend :p ) so this wedding was a totally different thing! It was a beautiful evening and a lot of people told me that my French was very good :’) I had tears of joy in my eyes! Plus I opened myself to some other opportunities with French language.

The second part of September was.. full of French class! As the school year has begun, a lot of my French students came back so I had some work to do :p We went back to Vienna and I think it was my first flight that didn’t bring me back to Poland but to another city abroad. It was a funny feeling. Also we participated in Vienna Bachata Congress which is a bachata festival and it was pretty cool but also very exhausting. Would you like to know more about it? Maybe I can right a post about bachata? :D

We’re about to finish this month… in Paris, celebrating two year together and having the last French croissant! I’m very very veeerrryyyy grateful for all of this happening in my life :’)

October

The new semester begins so I will go back to Poland… finally :P This academic year I want to work on some organization habits, especially for the meal prep. Last year I had several situations when I didn’t prepare anything to eat and then I was starving for the half of the day so I really want to make it better now.

Another thing is that October is going to be full of nice trips (yeaaaah, again!) and an amazing event but I’ll tell you more about this at the end of this month. Also I need to finish my driving license! I haven’t finished it yet because I had to take a break as I was traveling during past two month and I wasn’t in Lodz at all.

I’m pretty excited for this month! How about you? Tell me in the comments!

July moments & August plans

It’s already a tradition on my blog that whenever I publish a podcast episode about last month's essentials I write an English version of this podcast episode for my blog. On one hand it’s for my English speaking friends so they can also enjoy this part of my content but on the other hand it’s a good moment for me to go back to all those beautiful moments and reflect on my new month plans. So here we go with some beautiful moments from July and cool plans for the rest of August!

July essentials

July was an “internship month” so it was all about my internship at a cosmetic laboratory. Actually I did more paperwork but still I was very happy I could help the team and my work was really needed. All in all I’m happy with what I’ve learned! And a little bit upset that I didn’t have enough time to see the real laboratory work but still. Experience is experience and what you’ve learned is good whatever it was.

It was also a month of a new challenge – I’ve started my driving license! If you follow me on Instagram, you could see it was really a challenge for me. I mean I had some ups and downs (as everybody) and learned a lot about myself too. For example I thought that I had already overcome this “you must be perfect in this in two seconds” but actually I still expected myself to be perfect at driving after two lessons… so it was a good moment for me to rethink and reconstruct my inner voice. My driving course is not over yet but I had to stop for a while because of my August voyage!

What else? It was a moment of some food goodies! In Poland we have a kind of a… sweet bun? Muffin? I don’t know what to call it but it’s like a bun filled with blueberries and we call it “jagodzianka”. It’s de-li-cious! And if you have a chance to try it, try it! Also it was a moment for my first iced latte :) ah what a beautiful month with amazing food! I think that summer is my favorite time of the year when it comes to food and fresh veggies and juicy fruits… love that.

August plans

On the 3rd of August I took a plane to come to Vienna. It was one of my favorite moments because it was the beginning of my vacation and the beginning of a very long moment that I’m going to spend with my beloved one. Being in a long-distance relationship makes you look for some opportunities to live together. I’ve already had this chance twice – for the first time it was in September 2022 when we went on a trip together for three almost four weeks and then in February 2023 when I had a longer break in between my studies. Having this opportunity to come to Vienna and actually live there is a huge thing and I’m very grateful for that! So what I’ve planned for this time?

Well, as I had a memory of me in February feeling lost in my routines and everyday life, I decided to plan my days, more or less, so I have some checkpoints that can help me organize myself and give me a feeling of having a purpose on an everyday basis. I wrote down all the things I can do during the day and I try to put them in my routine but without any pressure that “I must/have to/need to”.

Also I will come back to Poland for my birthday and then for one week at the end of August. Once I wrote down all the plane tickets I had already bought or still needed to buy and wow it was a real list of trips. And you know what? I’m very proud of myself to have this opportunity. It's a self-appreciation moment to tell myself “you did well and you’re doing well, congrats!”. Do you do it for yourself too? Highly recommended, self-applause is needed and it gives you this feeling of accomplishing a great job. Actually inner appreciation is more needed than this outer one. Okay I need to stop this Basia Coello talk, haha :p

That’s it for today, hope you had a great time in July and have an amazing time in August! Cheers!

~ June ~

It’s already the beginning of July but let me quickly go back to the previous month and see what happened in June! It was a tough month because of exams but I managed to finish my semester and validate all the exams, woo-hoo! This is my biggest success and since my therapist told me to really appreciate my work and what I managed to do, I decided to make a list of my highs of the month and also some lows just to reflect on those situations and move forward with a lesson in my mind.

So here we go with some beautiful moments from June! First, my favorite thing was that it was already warm enough to go out without any jacket and I really like this kind of weather. I ate my first ice creams, drunk my first iced latte and had my first rhubarb tart that I love and could die for. Also first swim in the lake! Ah, so refreshing.

Then it was also a month of exams, as I already mentioned in the beginning, and exams mean studying a lot and it was hard for me this time. I mean, for first exams I studied a lot and had motivation to do that but then, the motivation went down… oupsi. Last exams were quite hard but at the end it was fine and I passed all of them. Shout out to all of you who validated the semester and are now free! And good luck for those who are still fighting :p fingers crossed!

During this month I had more time in between my therapy session so I had the chance to really work on my mind. Well, you have to know that during therapy most of the time I’m like ‘yeah, of course, I’m gonna try this technic next time” and then when the situation comes the old pattern returns and then I’m like “shit, it needs effort and patient to be changed…” So yeah, I’m really working hard but sometimes I forget that actually I need to do that work to make it change. Anyone can relate?

Back to beautiful moments! I spent a very nice weekend with my boyfriend in Poznan. We rent a car (the company was awful but it’s another story) and had some small trips next to Poznan – it was really cool plus I love looking at my boyfriend while he’s driving a car! I mean, look at this handsome boy hehe B) Also we went to Amsterdam for a weekend and had a nice time there. I got sunburned a day after my exam during which I had had to answer the question “what’s SPF and how it works and why it’s so important to put it on the skin every day.” Yeah… no comments XD

And the last week of June I spent in Vienna with my boyfriend, walking around, working, drinking iced latte, speaking French, dancing and seeing friends! How about your June? Let me know about your highs and lows – let’s inspire each other! And good luck for this month guys, stay inspired 😊
